Safety, Tools & Basic ConstructionYou are here
Master job-site safety, SDS/HazCom, PPE, confined spaces, brazing safety, measuring and tubing tools, and reading basic construction plans (about 36% of the exam combined).
Basic Science & Electrical Fundamentals
Study matter and combustion, Ohm's law, AC/DC and series/parallel circuits, power, gas laws, and HVAC math/geometry (~10%).
Basic Electricity (Motors, Diagrams & Meters)
Focus on the largest domain: schematic/ladder diagrams, single- and three-phase and ECM motors, contactors and relays, and using digital meters for voltage, resistance, and amperage (~26%).
Comfort, Heat & Psychrometric Measurements
Cover sensible/latent heat, BTU, heat transfer, thermometers, psychrometrics and the psychrometric chart, delta T, airflow, and humidity control, then complete the 100-question practice bank and review every miss with the AI tutor (~28%).
