Can You Take the DE Security Guard Exam?

Fingerprint-based review and the qualification standards in 24 Del. C. § 1314 and 24 DE Admin. Code 1300
Fingerprinting
Required through the current IdentoGO application process
Additional Requirements
  • Pass the Board-approved security guard test with a score of at least 75%
  • Submit the nonrefundable $105 application payment using Delaware's current IdentoGO process
  • Carry the physical Board-issued card while performing security duties
  • Work only for a licensed security agency at a site controlled by the agency or covered by its contract
  • Report an arrest or disqualifying charge to the Professional Licensing Section within five business days, excluding weekends and holidays
  • Renew on the five-year birthdate cycle by repeating the current training, testing, fingerprint, and application process
