The Delaware State Police Professional Licensing Section regulates private security under Title 24, Chapter 13 and 24 DE Admin. Code 1300. An applicant must be at least 18, satisfy the statutory background qualifications, complete Board-approved training, pass the DTCC-administered test with at least 75%, and complete the fingerprint/application process. The DSP FAQ directs candidates to onsite DTCC testing at Dover, Stanton, or Georgetown after approved training. Bring the current required identification and training certificate.
What happens after a failed test?
Schedule another test date and pay the applicable test fee. DSP states that retests are unlimited within one year after training; after that year, training must be repeated.
