RCIS235 is the pathway most career changers and cross-trained staff use—registered nurses, respiratory therapists, radiologic technologists, paramedics/EMTs, and other health-science post-secondary graduates who moved into cath labs without an RCIS4/RCIS5 diploma.

You must document all three elements:

1. Education: Certificate or degree from a post-secondary health-science program (cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, nursing, RT, paramedicine, etc.).
2. Experience: One year full-time work experience in invasive cardiovascular technology (employment verification on letterhead).
3. Procedures: 600 cardiac diagnostic and/or interventional procedures over your career—combining work and procedures logged during formal clinical training if applicable.
