Pathway 1: bachelor's degree or higher from an ABAI-accredited program (earned 2015 or later). Pathway 2: bachelor's degree in any field plus 225 hours of behavior-analytic coursework (270 hours for applications from January 1, 2027).
Experience
1,300 hours of Supervised Fieldwork (5% supervised) or 1,000 hours of Concentrated Supervised Fieldwork (10% supervised); Concentrated drops to 800 hours from January 1, 2027.
Additional Requirements
  • •Pass the BCaBA exam within the 2-year authorization period (up to 8 attempts, 30 days apart)
  • •Have a qualified BCBA supervisor on record before practicing
