There is no education requirement and no minimum age to obtain a Serving It Right certificate; the training is open to everyone.
Additional Requirements
  • •SIR is required before work that requires certification. The exact roles and recognized exemptions depend on the licence class; special-event servers may use SES or SIR.
  • •An SIR certificate is valid for 5 years from the exam completion date and must be renewed by retaking the program.
