Passing is 70% (35 of 50) in 3 hours. The examination is open book. PSI lists USD 60 (South Carolina Commercial Contractor Candidate Information Bulletin updated 5/15/2025). Candidates must also pass the Alarm Code of Laws Examination. NTS Level I is required. Burglar and fire alarm contractor candidates are not required to have work experience as an examination prerequisite. Candidates must also pass the Alarm Code of Laws Examination.
