About the NM CID GS-25 Exam
The New Mexico CID GS-25 examination covers swimming pool construction excluding plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work. The official open-book PSI exam has 50 scored questions, a 75% passing standard (38 points), and 155 minutes allowed. Allowed references include NMAC 14.7.2 and 14.7.3 (2021), IBC 2021, IRC 2021, OSHA 29 CFR 1926, the Certified Pool-Spa Operators Handbook (2006), PCA Design and Control of Concrete Mixtures (17th, 2021), CRSI Placing Reinforcing Bars (9th), ACI Guide to Shotcrete (2016 or 2022), Pipe and Excavation Contracting (2011), and ISPSC 2021. NMAC 14.6.6 GS-25 authorizes excavation, reinforcing steel or mesh, concrete, and special coatings and does not authorize plumbing, mechanical, electrical, or LP-gas work.
