About the LCA Italian Exam
LCA Italian is the Italian option within Leaving Certificate Applied Modern Languages (General Education). It develops basic communicative competence for social contact and travel: greetings, introductions, nationality, family, numbers, time, likes and dislikes, food and drink, directions, tickets, shopping, accommodation and money. Two sequential modules — Social Relationships and Travelling and Finding the Way — each include key assignments; the final examination combines oral and written/aural tasks and commonly awards 6 credits. This is not established Leaving Certificate Italian. OpenExamPrep provides original English multiple-choice practice adapted from Italian survival vocabulary and phrases to support revision — it does not replace key assignments or SEC exam practice.
