What distinguishes a complete circuit from an open circuit?
A complete circuit provides an unbroken path from the source through the load and back to the source. An open circuit interrupts that path, so normal load current cannot flow even though voltage may still be present at part of the circuit.

Prov states that an unsuccessful candidate may retake the examination as many times as necessary, with no waiting period and no Board limit on attempts. After the score report is processed, the candidate may register for the next available appointment.

The Prov bulletin lists the 2017 National Electrical Code Handbook, Ugly's Electrical References 2020, and OSHA 29 CFR Part 1926 for LLE. The exam is open book, but candidates should check the live bulletin before testing because permitted references and handling rules can change.
Is the Tennessee LLE the same as a journeyman or electrical contractor license?
No. Tennessee expressly says the LLE is not comparable to a journeyman or master license. It is an individual limited license generally used for electrical work under $25,000 in jurisdictions that accept it, and an LLE holder may not advertise as an electrical contractor without the appropriate contractor license.
