Before the Assigned Day

Read the complete registration slip, not only the date. Mark the named AS&RC, reporting time, required identity and education records, photographs or copies, dress instructions, and prohibited items. If the slip conflicts with an older advertisement or this guide, the slip controls. Check the official portal again close to the date for a reschedule or instruction change.

Create two folders. The first contains the originals requested by the notice; the second contains the specified copies. Compare the spelling of the candidate's name, parent name, date of birth, and identity number across every record. Plan travel with a margin, but do not invent a universal reporting hour: centers and appointments differ.

Arrival and Administrative Checks

At the center, follow the queue, security, identity, and document instructions given by staff. Security procedures can change and should not be treated as an exam question. Electronic devices and unauthorized aids are a predictable risk, so carry only what the slip permits. Do not assume that a calculator, paper, pencil, bag, watch, or phone will be admitted merely because another candidate reported using one in a previous cycle.

Document scrutiny may occur before or after another administrative step. The exact use of photographs, signatures, biometrics, tokens, or desk numbers is operational detail controlled by the center. The preparation principle is simple: present genuine records, answer administrative questions accurately, and do not alter or borrow any document.

What the Initial Written Screen Covers

Historical Pakistan Army recruitment material describes:

• an intelligence test, commonly prepared through verbal and non-verbal reasoning; and
• an academic test covering English, Mathematics, Pakistan Studies, Islamiat, and General Knowledge.

This study guide teaches those domains because they are supported by that recruitment scope and by the local practice bank. It does not convert the practice-bank distribution into official weights. The 100 local questions are study material, not evidence that the live examination has 100 questions.

Likewise, common preparation sites publish specific totals and minutes, but those figures are not a current official specification. Determine the live pacing only after reading the instructions at the center. If a screen states the number of questions and minutes, calculate the average budget as total available seconds divided by total questions. If it does not, work steadily and use any progress display provided.

Read the Interface Before Acting

The instruction screen or invigilator should explain how to choose an option, move forward, change an answer, submit, and handle a technical fault. Confirm these points before starting:

1. Can an item be skipped and revisited?
2. Can a selected answer be changed?
3. Is there a penalty for a wrong answer?
4. Does time apply to the whole test or to a section?
5. What is the approved response if the terminal freezes or an image fails to load?

Never infer a button's effect. A Next button may save an answer, lock it, or simply move the display; only the actual instructions can tell you. Raise a hand for a technical issue and let staff record or resolve it. Repeated clicking, restarting equipment, or opening another program can create a larger problem.

After the Initial Screen

Follow the center's direction about results and the next appointment. Some stages may be scheduled separately. The broader preliminary route can include physical assessment, initial medical screening, and an interview before a candidate is considered for ISSB. Passing one stage does not guarantee advancement through every later stage.

ISSB is a separate assessment organization and should not be confused with the AS&RC academic screen. Official ISSB material describes a four-day program after arrival and evaluates candidates through psychological work, group-testing-officer tasks, and interview assessment. Official guidance emphasizes clear expression, awareness, motivation, fitness, and natural behavior; it warns candidates against artificial coaching responses.

A Dependable Candidate Checklist

• Verify the live course and assigned center.
• Bring exactly the records and items requested.
• Arrive by the slip's time.
• Listen to staff and read every instruction.
• Treat the displayed rules as controlling for navigation, timing, and scoring.
• Report technical faults immediately.
• Preserve any stamped, printed, or electronic next-stage instruction.
• Recheck official information before each later stage.

This workflow remains valid even when a center changes its software, schedule, or administrative sequence.
