Anatomy and HistologyYou are here
Master gross anatomy by region, histology of all tissue types, neuroanatomy (cranial nerves, tracts, brainstem), and key embryological derivatives.
Physiology
Work through Guyton-level physiology of all organ systems: cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, GI, endocrine, reproductive, and neurophysiology. Integrate acid-base and fluid/electrolyte balance.
Biochemistry and Genetics
Review metabolic pathways (glycolysis, TCA, electron transport, fatty acid oxidation, urea cycle), enzyme kinetics, vitamins and minerals, and inherited metabolic disorders.
Microbiology and Immunology
Learn major bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic pathogens by system, plus innate vs adaptive immunity, antibody classes, hypersensitivity reactions, and vaccine types.
Pathology
Cover general pathology (inflammation, cell injury, neoplasia) and systems pathology using Robbins. Build differential diagnoses from morphology, histology, and lab findings.
Integration and Practice Exams
Complete full-length timed practice exams, review case-based questions, and drill weak areas identified in diagnostic testing.
Can You Take the NPLEX I Exam?
Check if you meet the basic eligibility requirements
- •CNME-accredited ND program in good standing
- •Documented completion of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology/immunology, and pathology coursework
- •Part I must be passed before beginning clinical rotations at most ND schools
- •Must be passed before sitting for NPLEX Part II
- •Government-issued photo ID at Prometric testing center
