Can You Take the WCC Exam?

Check if you meet the basic eligibility requirements

Age
Education
Complete a wound-management course of at least 20 hours that meets NAWCO criteria, or hold a current qualifying CWCN, CWON, CWOCN, CWS, or CWSP certification.
Experience
Complete 120 hours of hands-on clinical training with an approved preceptor, or document 2 full-time years (or 4 part-time years) of qualifying wound-care involvement within the past 5 years.
Additional Requirements
  • Submit application with documentation of license, education/experience eligibility
  • Pay $380 application/exam fee to NAWCCB
  • Schedule at Prometric testing center after receiving Authorization to Test (ATT)
  • Recertify every 5 years via approved course, exam retake, 60 wound care CE hours, or preceptorship
