Part-by-Part Evaluation Focus

Under French administrative and educational law, the decisions of the national DELF examination jury are sovereign (souveraineté du jury). This means that the pedagogical evaluation, grading decisions, and marks awarded by accredited examiners are final and cannot be appealed or contested. Re-evaluations or remarking are legally granted only in rare cases of verifiable administrative irregularities (such as an error in mathematical score tallying or candidate identity mix-up).

Provisional Results vs. Official Diploma Delivery

• Results (maximum 2 months): France Éducation international guarantees candidates the right to receive their results « dans un délai raisonnable (maximum : 2 mois) ». Your exam centre publishes the results and the date is announced locally, so ask the centre rather than relying on a fixed nationwide timetable.
• Attestation de réussite provisoire (on request): successful candidates are entitled to a provisional certificate of achievement if they ask their exam centre for one. It states the marks obtained in each of the four competencies and can be submitted to administrative bodies (such as a prefecture) while the diploma is being printed.
• Diplôme définitif: the official diploma, printed by France Éducation international on secure non-falsifiable paper, is delivered to the examination centre. You collect it there and must present photo identification to do so. Issuing times vary by country and centre; the diploma is valid for life, so keep it safe — replacing a lost diploma is an administrative procedure, not a reprint on demand.
