Additional Requirements
  • Use 2026 code books for exams delivered on or after May 1, 2026.
  • Apply through AHIMA and schedule with Pearson VUE within the 120-day eligibility window.
  • Bring the correct allowable code books to the test center or you may be turned away and forfeit fees.
  • Maintain the credential through the AHIMA two-year recertification process.
