Can You Take the CCHT Exam?

Education
High school diploma or GED/equivalent; the name must match the CCHT application or proof of name change is needed.
Experience
If not yet employed, applicant documents clinical hands-on patient-care hours and supervised facility experience. If employed within the last 18 months, applicant provides employer name and supervisor signature. NNCC recommends but does not require 6 months or 1,000 hours of clinical experience.
Additional Requirements
  • Educator signature or certificate of completion verifies training
  • Applicants must comply with CMS ESRD Conditions for Coverage and state hemodialysis technician practice requirements
  • If unemployed for 18 months or longer, proof of current retraining and hands-on experience is required
