Pass the CoreCHI Written Exam
Take practice exams covering all 5 domains. The written exam has 100 multiple-choice questions with a 450/600 passing score.
Prepare for and Pass the CHI Performance Exam
Practice consecutive and simultaneous interpreting, sight translation, and written translation in your target language. Must be completed within 12 months of passing CoreCHI.
Can You Take the CHI Exam?
Check if you meet the basic eligibility requirements
- •Must be at least 18 years old
- •Must demonstrate dual language proficiency in English and Spanish, Arabic, or Mandarin
- •Must pass CoreCHI written exam before taking CHI performance exam
- •Must pass CHI performance exam within 12 months of passing CoreCHI
- •Certification valid for 4 years; renewal requires 32 CE hours and 40 work hours
