Identify the purpose, audience, and audience needs for preparing graphics. Communicate with colleagues and clients about design plans. Determine the type of copyright, permissions, and licensing required to use specific content. Manage assets in a project. Demonstrate knowledge of basic project management concepts.
Create a document with the appropriate settings for web, print, and video. Navigate, organize, and customize the application workspace. Use non-printing design tools in the interface to aid in design or workflow. Use the Document Raster Effects Settings to control resolution of raster effects.
Use layers and sublayers to manage design elements. Modify layer visibility using opacity, blending modes, masks, and locks. Group, isolate, and arrange objects to manage complex designs. Manage multiple artboards within a single document.
Use core tools and features to create visual elements: shape tools, the Pen tool family, the Curvature tool, Pencil, Image Trace, type tools, brushes, gradients, patterns, the Width tool, Live Paint, Pathfinder, Compound Paths and Compound Shapes, the Appearance panel, live Effects, Symbols, and modern AI features (Generative Recolor, Text to Vector Graphic, Retype, Mockup, Repeat).
