About EA

The Enrolled Agent (EA) exam, officially the Special Enrollment Examination (SEE), is a three-part exam required to become an IRS Enrolled Agent — the highest credential the IRS awards. EAs have unlimited practice rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS on any tax matter. For the 2026–2027 SEE testing cycle, use Tax Year 2025 and federal tax law through December 31, 2025. Unless a question states a different year, “current year” means 2025. Later enactments and later-year amounts do not replace this baseline.

EA Enrolled Agent radio FAQ

Is EA Radio free?

Yes. EA Enrolled Agent Exam Prep Radio is free to listen to, with no sign-up. Press the power button and you join the broadcast straight away.

How does EA Radio work?

It is a 58-minute recorded study show that broadcasts continuously. Everyone tuned in hears the same moment, like real radio. Turn it off whenever you like; turning it back on joins the current broadcast.

How is this different from a study podcast?

It works like a study podcast that is always on. Instead of choosing an episode, you join the show in progress, and everyone on a station hears the same moment. There is no seek bar, speed control or download.

Who are the hosts?

Maya & Ben are AI-generated hosts. The show is independent study material from OpenExamPrep; check exam rules with the official exam sponsor and practice with our free questions.

Can I keep listening while I practice?

Yes. Open practice questions, study guides or flashcards on any page. The radio keeps playing, and the header has a power button to turn it off or back on.

What is the EA exam pass rate?

A verified 2026–2027 cohort pass rate is not available in the IRS SEE FAQ or current PSI bulletin reviewed. Do not use an unsourced historical percentage to predict a current result. Each part requires a scaled score of 500 on a 200–800 scale, not a fixed raw percentage.

How many parts does the EA exam have?

The EA exam has 3 parts: Part 1 covers Individual taxation (Form 1040, deductions, credits), Part 2 covers Business taxation (entities, depreciation, partnerships, corporations), and Part 3 covers Representation, Practices & Procedures (Circular 230, IRS audits, collections). You can take them in any order.
