ZIMSEC Grade 7 PE and Arts Study Tips from Top Performers
Frequently Asked Questions
What is ZIMSEC Grade 7 Physical Education and Arts 7130?
It is the national Grade 7 PE and Arts examination administered by ZIMSEC. Code 7130 appears on ZIMSEC’s June 2026 examiner-recruitment notice, and official Paper 1 and Paper 2 downloads exist.
Is this only a practical exam?
No. ZIMSEC sets two written papers: Paper 1 (7130/01) is 40 four-option multiple-choice questions in 1 hour 30 minutes and Paper 2 (7130/2) is structured work in 1 hour 45 minutes. Junior PE and arts still include practical work in school, which MCQs cannot certify.
Are these official exam questions?
No. They are free study questions written for this site. Official PE and Arts Paper 1 is genuinely a 40-item four-option multiple-choice paper, so the item type matches, but these are not ZIMSEC papers and they are not a practical simulation.
What should I study?
Cover safe participation, first-aid awareness and game classification; athletics, gymnastics, adventure activities and health-related fitness; mass displays including music, background art and arena acts; and visual and performing arts — colour, drawing, pottery, basketry, sculpture, music elements and Zimbabwean dance and theatre.
When is the 2026 Grade 7 PE and Arts exam?
Paper 1 is sat on Thursday 24 September 2026 and Paper 2 on Friday 2 October 2026, both in the 0900 hrs morning session. Grade 7 results are published in the last week of November 2026.
