About the UPSC CAPF AC Exam
The Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination is conducted annually by the UPSC to recruit Assistant Commandants (Group A officers) for the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP and SSB. The written stage has two papers: Paper I, General Ability and Intelligence, is an objective multiple-choice test of 125 questions worth 250 marks completed in 2 hours, while Paper II, General Studies, Essay and Comprehension, is a descriptive 200-mark paper of 3 hours.
