About the RPF Constable Exam
The RPF Constable Computer-Based Test is the written stage for recruitment to the post of Constable in the Railway Protection Force, the central armed police force that protects railway property, passenger areas, and passengers under the Ministry of Railways. The CBT has 120 objective multiple-choice questions for 120 marks, to be completed in 90 minutes, and is set at the Class 10 (Matriculation) level. The paper is divided into three sections: General Awareness (50 marks), Arithmetic (35 marks), and General Intelligence & Reasoning (35 marks). One mark is awarded for each correct answer and one-third mark is deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates who clear the CBT proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT), which are separate non-MCQ stages, followed by document verification and a medical examination.
