The Trafford Grammar Schools Consortium 11 Plus is the shared selective entrance test for five Trafford grammar schools, set by GL Assessment and sat in September of Year 6 for Year 7 entry. It consists of two multiple-choice papers of about one hour each, assessing Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning spread across the papers; there is no separate English paper. Answers are marked on a separate OMR sheet and scores are age-standardised across the sections. There is no fixed pass mark, but the qualifying standardised mark has historically been around 334, and meeting it does not guarantee a place because the schools are oversubscribed. This 100-question bank provides original GL-style multiple-choice practice across all three subjects with full explanations.

About the Trafford 11+ Exam
The Trafford Grammar Schools Consortium 11 Plus is the shared selective entrance test used by the five Trafford grammar schools - Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, Sale Grammar School, Stretford Grammar School and Urmston Grammar - to select pupils for Year 7 places. The test is set by GL Assessment and consists of two multiple-choice papers of about one hour each, taken in September of Year 6. Three subjects are assessed across the two papers: Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. There is no separate English paper; English skills such as vocabulary and comprehension are assessed within the Verbal Reasoning sections. Answers are recorded on a separate Optical Mark Reading sheet, scores are age-standardised, and offers are competitive and based on the consortium's admissions criteria.
