1Which vehicles belong to Slovak driving-licence group T under Act No. 8/2009 Z. z.?
A.Only tractors with a maximum authorised mass of up to 3,500 kg
B.Agricultural and forestry tractors and other special vehicles
C.Any vehicle used on a farm, including vans and pick-up trucks
D.Self-propelled machines only, never tractors pulling trailers
Explanation: Section 75(17) of Act No. 8/2009 puts into group T agricultural and forestry tractors and other special motor vehicles, and allows a trailer to be attached to them. Mass is not what defines the group.
2Where does a Slovak group T driving entitlement allow you to drive?
A.In every EU member state
B.In Slovakia and the Czech Republic
C.Only in Slovakia
D.Only on farmland, never on public roads
Explanation: Section 76(17) of Act No. 8/2009 says that group T entitles the holder to drive group T vehicles only on the territory of the Slovak Republic. Group T is a national category, not one of the EU-harmonised groups.
3What is the minimum age for a Slovak group T driving licence?
A.15 years
B.16 years
C.18 years
D.17 years
Explanation: Section 78(1)(c) of Act No. 8/2009 sets 17 years as the minimum age for groups B and T. Group AM starts at 15 and groups A1 and B1 at 16.
4A group B holder wants to drive a small tractor in Slovakia. When does group B allow it?
A.Never; a separate T licence is always needed for any tractor
B.If the tractor or combination is at most 3,500 kg
C.For tractors of any mass, as long as only class III roads are used
D.Only after the driver has held group B for at least five years
Explanation: Section 76(7) of Act No. 8/2009 lets a group B licence cover, in Slovakia, group T vehicles up to 3,500 kg maximum authorised mass and a T combination up to 3,500 kg. Heavier tractors need group T.
5On which roads may special motor vehicles such as tractors generally be used without restriction?
A.Class III, local and special-purpose roads
B.On all roads except motorways and expressways
C.On class I and class II roads only
D.Only on roads marked with a tractor symbol
Explanation: Section 39(7) of Act No. 8/2009 allows special motor vehicles on roads only on class III roads, local roads and special-purpose roads, with exceptions such as registered tractors moving for agricultural work or under the rules for class I and II roads.
6A registered tractor is not moving for agricultural work. When must it stay off class I roads?
A.Only on Sundays, from 06:00 to 22:00
B.At night, between 22:00 and 06:00 on every day of the week
C.Only during July and August
D.Mon-Fri 07:00-09:00, and Fri and rest days 16:00-20:00
Explanation: Section 39(7)(b) of Act No. 8/2009 lets registered tractors and self-propelled working machines use class I and II roads, but not class I roads on Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 09:00, and on Fridays and days of rest from 16:00 to 20:00.
7Your tractor reaches a rural section with three marked lanes in your direction, and a slower machine is ahead of you. In which lane may you overtake it?
A.Only the second lane from the right
B.Any lane, provided you return to the right lane quickly
C.Only the leftmost lane, which is for overtaking
D.None, because special vehicles may never overtake
Explanation: Under § 10(2) of Act No. 8/2009, the driver of a special motor vehicle, like the driver of a goods vehicle over 3,500 kg or of a combination over 7 m, may overtake on such a road only in the second lane from the right edge. Other lanes are for passing obstacles, turning around or turning.
8Inside a municipality, on a road with two marked lanes in one direction, which lane should a tractor use?
A.Any lane, exactly as passenger cars may when driving in town
B.The left lane, so that cyclists have more space
C.The right lane; others only to pass, overtake or turn
D.Whichever lane happens to have less traffic
Explanation: Section 10(3) of Act No. 8/2009 lets most drivers in a municipality use any lane, but not drivers of special motor vehicles. They keep to the right lane and use others only to pass an obstacle, overtake, turn around or turn.
9How must the driver of a tractor drive down a slope?
A.In neutral, if the slope is only gentle
B.With a gear engaged only when towing a trailer
C.With the engine switched off to save fuel
D.Always with a gear engaged
Explanation: Section 5(4) of Act No. 8/2009 requires drivers of special motor vehicles, combinations and vehicles over 3,500 kg to drive downhill always with a gear engaged.
10May you carry your 10-year-old child in the tractor cab?
A.Yes, if the child sits on an approved passenger seat
B.Yes, if the trip is shorter than 5 km
C.No, under-12s may not ride in it
D.Yes, if another adult also rides in the cab
Explanation: Section 46(2) of Act No. 8/2009 forbids carrying a person under 12 in a special motor vehicle or on an L-category vehicle. A tractor is a special motor vehicle.

About the Slovakia Theory Test T Exam

Group T covers agricultural and forestry tractors and other special motor vehicles, with trailers allowed, and is valid only in Slovakia. The minimum age is 17. Applicants take an electronic theory test before the driving test: 40 random questions in 30 minutes, three answer choices each, and a pass mark of 90 out of 100 points (Decree 9/2009 § 18). The test is offered in Slovak, English and Hungarian. The MV SR question pool marks tractor-specific questions, such as road-class restrictions and carrying persons in tractor trailers. It is a study aid, not the official question pool or an exam simulation.
