About the PSAC Exam

The Primary School Achievement Certificate (PSAC) is the national end-of-primary assessment in Mauritius, conducted by the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate at Grade 6. The 2026 Annual Programme sets written papers in English, French, Mathematics, Science and History & Geography, with an optional Asian language, Arabic, Kreol Morisien or Kreol Rodrige. Communication Skills and ICT Skills are assessed in school. Core subjects are graded from 1 (75 marks and above) to 6 (below 30). The PSAC counts as an NQF Level 1 qualification when the minimum grades in the programme are met, and results are used for admission to Grade 7. A January 2026 Ministry consultation proposed a new nine-point PSAC scale, but the 2026 programme keeps grades 1 to 6. This bank is independent English-language MCQ practice for the PSAC. The French items keep their French sentences. It is not an MES paper or translation and does not replace written or school-based assessment.

What is the Mauritius PSAC?

It is the national Grade 6 assessment conducted by the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate. It leads to the Primary School Achievement Certificate and is used for admission to Grade 7.
