Érettségi Orosz: Suggested Study Strategy

Master the Russian six-case system with dedicated declension tables: pay special attention to masculine animate direct objects taking genitive endings in the accusative case (Я вижу нового студента vs. Я вижу новый стол).
Learn verbs of motion in pairs: distinguish unidirectional determinate verbs (идти, ехать, лететь) representing single trips in one direction right now from multidirectional indeterminate verbs (ходить, ездить, летать) signifying round trips, regular habits, or general ability.
Understand verbal aspect through clear temporal triggers: words like каждый день (every day), долго (for a long time), and часто (often) require imperfective (НСВ), while вдруг (suddenly), наконец (at last), and за час (in an hour) indicate perfective (СВ) completion.
Memorize Russian numeral case rules: remember that numbers ending in 1 take nominative singular (один студент), 2, 3, 4 take genitive singular (два студента), and 5 through 20 take genitive plural (пять студентов).
Practice directional vs. locational prepositional pairs: location takes в/на + prepositional case (в школе, на вокзале), while destination takes в/на + accusative case (в школу, на вокзал), and origin takes из/с + genitive case (из школы, с вокзала).
Practice Cyrillic reading fluency daily by reading authentic Russian news summaries, short cultural texts, and train/airport notices to boost both reading speed and lexical recognition under timed exam conditions.
