The CIC Certification Course for Loadshifting Machinery Operators certifies competent operators for bulldozers, loaders, excavators, mini/skid loaders (with and without attachments) and compactors on Hong Kong construction sites under Cap. 59AG. Training and testing cover legal duties, machine components, stability, pre-use checks, safe excavation and loading, site traffic and weather emergencies, and shutdown/maintenance boundaries, aligned with Labour Department guidance and CIC trade-test requirements.

CIC three-day certification pathway for new applicants: Day 1 theory refresher, Day 2 written test and machine familiarisation, Day 3 practical test. Six machine types are certified separately (BUL, LOA, EXC, MN1, MN2, RCO). One-day revalidation course with theory refresher and written test for certificate holders (mini-loader revalidation may be half-day). As of mid-2026, CIC temporarily accepts renewal applications only while new certificate applications are suspended during venue relocation.
