About the Saxony Abitur Italian Exam
Sachsen Abitur Italienisch is the Freistaat Sachsen state Abitur examination in the Fremdsprache Italienisch, taken as a fortgeführte Fremdsprache Leistungskursfach under SMK Verwaltungsvorschriften. Following the sächsische Lehrpläne Italienisch and KMK EPA/Bildungsstandards for the fortgeführte Fremdsprache, it assesses funktionale kommunikative Kompetenz — especially Sprechen (praktischer Prüfungsteil), Schreiben and Sprachmittlung in the written paper — plus interkulturelle Kompetenz and Textkompetenz. The written Klausur allots 285 minutes; the LK speaking part is a separate Partnerprüfung.
