Frequently Asked Questions
Is the official Sachsen Abitur Tschechisch exam multiple-choice?
No. As a Leistungskursfach in the neuen Fremdsprachen it is a kombinierte Aufgabe: a praktischer Prüfungsteil (Sprechen, normally a Partnerprüfung) plus written Prüfungsteil A (Schreibaufgabe/Textaufgabe) and Prüfungsteil B (Sprachmittlung), answered in Czech and scored in Bewertungseinheiten. This bank is an English-language MCQ study adaptation only — not a simulation of speaking or extended writing.
When is Tschechisch examined in 2026?
Written main date: Thursday 30 April 2026 (with Englisch, Russisch, Spanisch, Polnisch, Italienisch, Latein, Griechisch). Nachprüfung: Wednesday 27 May 2026. The LK praktischer Prüfungsteil in neuen Fremdsprachen is on 29 April 2026 (main) and 26 May 2026 (Nach), per schule.sachsen.de Terminübersicht.
How long is the exam?
VwV Abiturprüfung 2026: Partnerprüfung speaking typically 20 minutes for two candidates or 25 for three; written Gesamtarbeitszeit 285 minutes including Auswahlzeit for the Schreibaufgabe and Sprachmittlung parts.
Does Tschechisch have published Themenschwerpunkte like Englisch?
SMK materials state that the published Themenschwerpunkte for Writing (Prüfungsteil A) currently apply to Englisch and Französisch. For Tschechisch, the full sächsische Lehrpläne Tschechisch (Fachbezogene Strategien, Linguistische Grundlagen, Texte und Themenbereiche, plus Wahlbereiche such as Massenmedien, Wirtschaftstschechisch, Erlebte Geschichte) remain the content basis.
How is the subject scored?
Into the Gesamtnotenpunktzahl: Sprechen 20%, Schreiben 55%, Sprachmittlung 25%; within Schreiben and Sprachmittlung, language 60% and content 40%. Inside the subject, neue Fremdsprachen LK materials use a 90-BE scale converted to 0–15 Punkte. The Abitur Gesamtqualifikation still requires Block I ≥200/600 and Block II ≥100/300 under SOGYA.
Why are these practice questions in English MCQ form with Czech inside?
They train the factual, grammatical, cultural and strategy knowledge behind Schreiben, Sprachmittlung and Sprechen while keeping genuine Czech as the tested skill. The official paper requires extended Czech writing, mediation from German, and interactive speaking — formats this bank deliberately does not simulate.
Is there an exam fee?
No. The Abitur is a state school examination in Sachsen and regular enrolled candidates pay no fee. Nichtschüler routes are administered under Saxon school authority rules without a published Tschechisch-specific fee.
