Lower Saxony Zentralabitur Latein is the statewide written Latin Abitur examination administered by the Niedersächsisches Kultusministerium. It is an unseen Latin-to-German translation and interpretation exam based on the Einheitliche Prüfungsanforderungen Latein (EPA, 2005) and the Kerncurriculum Latein (KC, 2018). For 2026 the ministry sets three binding Leitthemen for continued Latin (Livius, Cicero de re publica, Vergil's Aeneid) and two for neu beginnender Latin (Pliny, Cicero de amicitia).
