About the Saber TyT ENS Educación Exam
The ICFES modules Enseñar, Formar and Evaluar are the Saber TyT specific-competency modules for students of Escuelas Normales Superiores. Saber TyT is a separately named Examen de Estado de la Calidad de la Educación Superior under Ley 1324 de 2009, with its own target population and 0–200 reporting scale, distinct from Saber Pro (0–300). ICFES's 2026-2 Saber TyT combinatoria table assigns combinatoria 41 (Enseñar, Formar, Evaluar) to Normales superiores. ICFES states that the module documentation is shared from Saber Pro and also applies to Saber TyT; shared guides do not make the two examinations the same sitting. Resolución ICFES 675 de 2019 art. 39 says ENS students register only through their Normal Superior and that Saber TyT is not a graduation requirement for the programa de formación complementaria. Each 2026-2 guide specifies 50 Spanish single-answer multiple-choice items. Enseñar is weighted in three equal afirmaciones (didactics, curriculum design, teaching-learning activities); Formar in four equal afirmaciones; Evaluar in three equal afirmaciones. This free bank is an English-language four-option MCQ study adaptation of the official afirmaciones and evidencias — not an official ICFES translation, not a format simulation of the Spanish booklet, and not practice for the generic session's open Comunicación Escrita task.
Assessment
Saber TyT session 1 (all candidates): five generic modules in 4 hours 40 minutes, including an open Comunicación Escrita task. For Escuelas Normales Superiores, ICFES's 2026-2 combinatoria table assigns combinatoria 41 (Enseñar, Formar and Evaluar) or combinatoria 0 (generics only); the current schedule describes electronic delivery. ICFES states that Enseñar, Formar and Evaluar documentation is shared from Saber Pro and also applies to Saber TyT. Shared module content does not merge the two exam identities: Saber TyT reports 0–200; Saber Pro reports 0–300.
Time Limit
Generic session: 4 hours 40 minutes. A verified duration for the three-module ENS specific session is not published in the reviewed ICFES materials: the TyT combinatoria table lists 1 hour 30 minutes for a specific-module session in the singular but gives no separate row for combinatoria 41. Follow the individual citación.
Passing Score
No pass/fail. Each Saber TyT module scored 0–200 without decimals and reported separately. These scores are not averaged into the Puntaje Global.
Exam Fee
No separate ENS or combinatoria 41 fee is published. Resolución 000629 of 11 November 2025 lists 2026 Saber Pro/TyT rates for public and private IES and individual graduates but does not name Escuela Normal Superior students; confirm the charged amount through the Normal Superior. Saber TyT ENS Educación Study Tips from Top Performers
Frequently Asked Questions
What is ICFES Saber TyT Enseñar, Formar y Evaluar?
They are the three specific-competency modules of Colombia's Saber TyT Examen de Estado assigned as combinatoria 41 to Escuelas Normales Superiores. When that combinatoria is assigned, candidates sit 50 Spanish single-answer multiple-choice items in each module.
Is this the same exam as Saber Pro Enseñar, Formar y Evaluar?
No. ICFES shares the Enseñar, Formar and Evaluar module documentation between the two sittings, but Saber TyT is a separately named examination for a different population with a 0–200 reporting scale. Saber Pro uses 0–300. Shared guides do not make the identities duplicates.
Is this the same as the generic Saber TyT bank?
No. The generic Saber TyT sitting (Lectura Crítica, Razonamiento Cuantitativo, Competencias Ciudadanas, Comunicación Escrita, and Inglés) is a separate 4-hour-40-minute session and makes the Puntaje Global. These three modules are the ENS-specific sitting and are scored separately 0–200.
Must Escuela Normal Superior students sit Saber TyT to graduate?
No. Resolución ICFES 675 de 2019 art. 39 says ENS students register only through their Normal Superior and that Saber TyT is not a graduation requirement for the programa de formación complementaria. Inscription supports quality evaluation of the public education service.
How many questions and how long is the official combinatoria?
Each 2026-2 orientation guide states 50 selección múltiple con única respuesta items per module. The generic session is 4 hours 40 minutes and includes an open Comunicación Escrita task. The reviewed ICFES materials do not publish a verified duration for the three-module ENS specific session; follow the individual citación.
How are the modules scored?
There is no pass/fail cut. Each Saber TyT module is scored 0–200 without decimals and reported separately. Those scores are not averaged into the Puntaje Global.
How much does it cost?
ICFES does not publish a separate ENS or combinatoria 41 fee. The 2026 Saber Pro/TyT schedule lists categories for public and private IES and individual graduates but does not name Escuela Normal Superior students, so candidates should confirm the charged amount through their Normal Superior.
Is this practice bank in the same language and format as the real exam?
No. ICFES issues the current module guides and items in Spanish, and the generic session includes an open writing task. This bank is an English-language four-option MCQ study adaptation of the official afirmaciones, not an official translation, not a Spanish-booklet simulation, and not practice for Comunicación Escrita.
