About the DZI Bulgarian Language and Literature Exam
DZI Bulgarian Language and Literature is the compulsory first state matriculation exam for a Bulgarian secondary diploma, administered by МОН. Candidates sit a written anonymous 4-hour Bulgarian paper covering language norms and the UIP literary programme (nine thematic circles; 27 XI–XII set works), ending in интерпретативно съчинение or есе. There is no official English sitting.
