Safety Data Sheet (SDS)

A hazard communication document with first aid, handling, storage, PPE, and emergency information. Keep it accessible where pesticides are stored or used.

Pesticide Drift

The movement of pesticide droplets, particles, or vapor away from the target site. Drift can injure crops, contaminate water, expose people, and violate labels.

Droplet Size and Drift

Smaller droplets drift more easily. Larger droplets, lower pressures, and drift-reduction nozzles generally reduce off-target movement.

Temperature Inversion

A weather condition where cool air is trapped near the ground under warmer air. Inversions can keep pesticide droplets suspended and move them unpredictably.

Buffer Zone

A no-application area between the treatment site and sensitive areas such as water, homes, schools, or endangered species habitat. Follow the label's required distance.

Groundwater Leaching
