2. Exact Location of Application: Specific address, field identifier, GPS coordinates, or legal township/range/section description. For landscape applications, specific property areas (e.g., "South lawn and front ornamental beds") must be listed.
3. Date and Time of Application: Specific date, including exact start time and completion time of the application.
4. Target Crop, Commodity, or Site: Precise identification of the treated crop (e.g., "Fuji Apples"), target weed/pest species (e.g., "Canada thistle"), or structural site (e.g., "Crawlspace perimeter").
5. Pesticide Product Identification: Full trade brand name and the EPA Registration Number of every pesticide product applied, including any adjuvants or surfactants mixed in the spray tank.
6. Concentration, Application Rate & Total Amount Used: Exact rate of application (e.g., "2 pints per acre"), total volume of finished spray solution applied, and total amount of concentrated pesticide product consumed.
7. Applicator Credentials & Treated Area Size: Name and WSDA license number of the applicator making or supervising the application, along with the total acreage, square footage, or linear feet treated.

Recording Timelines & 7-Year Retention Mandate

Recording Timelines:

• Commercial Applicators & Operators: Must record application details on the day of application and complete all 7 required items no later than 24 hours following the application.
• Private Applicators: Must record restricted use pesticide (RUP) application details within 7 days of application (same-day logging is strongly recommended as best practice).

The 7-Year Retention Requirement:

Under RCW 17.21.100, all pesticide application records must be retained in an accessible format for a minimum of 7 years from the date of application.

• Records must be presented immediately to WSDA compliance officers upon administrative request during regular business hours.

2. Required Warning Header: Must state in bold lettering: "THIS LANDSCAPE HAS BEEN TREATED WITH PESTICIDES BY [Business Name]" along with the applicator business phone number.
3. Placement Locations: Signs must be posted at all primary entry points to the treated landscape (e.g., driveways, walkways, front gates, patio entrances) prior to beginning application.
4. Minimum Posting Duration: Markers must remain posted for at least 24 hours following application (or longer if mandated by product label restricted-entry intervals).

Agricultural Posting (WPS Integration):

For agricultural operations regulated under the EPA Worker Protection Standard (WPS / 40 CFR 170 / WAC 16-233), warning signs must be posted at field access points whenever product labels mandate dual notification or when restricted-entry intervals (REI) exceed 48 hours for outdoor applications.
