Licensed Applicators: Annual License Renewal (NAC 555.372)

A person licensed to engage in the pest control business (primary principal, location principal, principal, operator, or demonstration and research specialist) cannot renew the annual license unless they certify completion of at least 6 units of continuing education in NDA-accredited courses within the immediately preceding 12 months:

• A primary principal, location principal, or principal must complete at least 1 unit in laws and regulations governing pesticide use (UNR Extension recommends at least 1 laws unit and 1 safe-handling unit each year) and may claim no more than 3 units in business management.
• One CEU unit equals at least 50 minutes of instruction directly related to pest control, pesticide classification or usage, safe handling, or pesticide law (NAC 555.374).
• Internet, correspondence, CD, or Extension video courses count only if the licensee scores at least 70% on a completion examination (retake allowed within 30 days).

6. Pesticide Identity: The brand name or generic name of the pesticide applied or recommended, plus its EPA Registration Number.
7. Dosage: The dosage rate applied or recommended.
8. Units Treated: The number of units treated, such as the number of acres or miles (or fraction thereof).
9. Purpose and Treatment Times: The purpose for which the crop, site, or spot was treated, plus the time the treatment started and finished.
10. Weather Conditions at Start and Finish: The temperature, wind velocity, and wind direction recorded at both the start and the finish of the treatment.

Licensees in the urban, rural and structural field record a parallel field set keyed to the treatment address, applicator, site, pesticide identity and dosage, and application details.
