Nevada anchors the disposal half of this procedure in NAC 644A.705: any disposable material that contacts blood or other bodily fluids must be disposed of in a sealable plastic bag or in a manner that protects the licensee, the client, and anyone who may later handle the waste such as sanitation workers; and any disposable sharp object that contacts blood or bodily fluids must go into a sealable rigid container strong enough to prevent accidental cuts or punctures. Regardless of blood exposure, disposable sharp objects including blades, needles, and lancets must be disposed of in labeled sharps containers.

NAC 644A.780 sets the service boundary: a licensee shall not perform any service upon a surface of the skin where such skin is inflamed, infected, broken or otherwise compromised, and shall not perform any service on a client whose skin shows signs of secretion of any bodily fluids.
