Fall Protection: The 6-Foot Rule

Falls are the leading cause of construction deaths and the most-cited OSHA violation year after year. 29 CFR 1926 Subpart M requires fall protection whenever construction employees work on walking/working surfaces with an unprotected side or edge 6 feet or more above a lower level.
