Can You Take the Florida Auctioneer Exam?
Check if you meet the basic eligibility requirements
- •Social Security number required on the application (ss. 455.203(9), 409.2577, 409.2598, F.S.)
- •Apprenticeship route requires at least 80 hours of auction sales in the 1-year period and active participation in each delineated auction phase at least 5 times (Rule 61G2-4.001(3), F.A.C.)
- •Apprentice sponsor must have held an active Florida auctioneer license for 3 consecutive years and may sponsor no more than 3 apprentices at once (F.S. 468.3855(1))
- •Pass the board-approved written examination and be approved by the Board of Auctioneers (F.S. 468.385(6)(b)-(c))
- •Biennial renewal expiring November 30 of odd-numbered years; no continuing education is required
