Experience or formal education in community paramedicine; targets accomplished paramedics currently associated with a community paramedic program
Additional Requirements
  • Upload a copy of paramedic license to IBSC account when registering
  • Allow 3-5 business days after registration to receive testing ID
  • Recertification requires 100 contact hours earned during the 4-year cycle (75 CLINICAL, including 16 from an IBSC-approved CP-C review class, plus up to 25 OTHER) or passing the exam again before expiration

Retake Policy

Retest 30 calendar days after each of the first two unsuccessful attempts. A 4th attempt requires a 90-day wait plus documentation from a professional educator; a 5th requires 180 days plus a Medical Director letter. After a 5th failure the candidate waits one year, then restarts the cycle as a first attempt.
