- •As of January 1, 2026, the CSC is no longer accepted for the purposes of CIRO Investment Dealer approval; the CIRO Proficiency Model (anchored by the CIRE) applies to new investment-dealer registrants.
- •The CSC remains a current, widely recognized credential used for mutual funds, banking, planning and broad employer recognition, and feeds into further CSI designations.

The Canadian Investment Marketplace (15%), The Economy (13%), Features and Types of Fixed-Income Securities (12%) and Pricing and Trading of Fixed-Income Securities (11%): capital market participants, regulators, economic indicators, monetary policy, bond features, pricing and yield.
Common and Preferred Shares (13%), Equity Transactions (10%), Derivatives (10%), Corporations and their Financial Statements (8%) and Financing and Listing Securities (8%): equity products, trading mechanics, options and forwards, financial statement analysis and primary/secondary distribution.
