Master's degree from an ACGC-accredited genetic counseling training program in the U.S. or Canada (or equivalent international pathway recognized by ABGC)
Experience
Graduation from an accredited program is the primary eligibility requirement; supervised clinical rotations are completed as part of the accredited master's curriculum
Additional Requirements
  • Submit official transcripts confirming degree and conferral date directly from institution
  • International applicants require current registration/certification from an ABGC-recognized international body and English-translated transcripts
  • Applications open twice yearly (spring and fall windows); exam administered via Prometric centers or remote proctoring
