Can You Take the CCRP Exam?

Bachelor's degree or higher in a health-related field from an accredited institution (or current RN licensure or current RRT credential)
Experience
1,200 clinical hours in cardiac rehabilitation/secondary prevention
Additional Requirements
  • Eligibility verified by AACVPR Professional Certification Commission; 10% of applications are randomly audited
  • Retest fee: standard exam fee less a $100 retest discount ($235 members / $335 non-members)
  • One attempt per testing window; maximum two attempts per calendar year
  • Certification valid for 3 years; renewed with 60 continuing education contact hours (at least 25 AACVPR-approved) plus a $95 member / $135 non-member application fee by the January 5 deadline (certification expires December 31 of the third year), or by re-examination
  • Candidates who do not meet requirements may submit an eligibility appeal
