About the VTCAP Grade 3 Math Exam
Statewide assessment for Vermont Grade 3 public school students evaluating mathematical proficiency across multiplication and division, 3-digit addition and subtraction, unit fractions and fraction equivalence, time and measurement, area and perimeter, and geometric shape attributes.
Assessment
The official VTCAP Grade 3 mathematics test is computer-adaptive and reports three content indicators — Operations and Algebraic Thinking; Number and Operations in Base Ten with Fractions; Measurement and Data with Geometry — plus two Mathematical Practices indicators. It is delivered in two sessions and includes four human-scored constructed responses.
