1A taxi passenger is seriously injured in a collision in Turkey. Which number connects the driver to the unified emergency call service?
A.112
B.155
C.110
D.156
Explanation: 112 is Turkey's unified emergency number. Give the location, describe the collision and injuries, and follow the call handler's instructions.
2A taxi's oil change produces used engine oil. Which collection method best supports safe recovery?
A.Mix it with used coolant in one container for all vehicle liquids
B.Keep it in a closed, suitable container separate from other waste and use an authorized collection route
C.Put the closed container in ordinary mixed municipal waste
D.Filter it through cloth and add it to the next engine-oil refill
Explanation: Used engine oil needs separate collection and an authorized recovery route, such as a motor-oil change point. Mixing it with other liquids complicates treatment, while filtering alone does not restore its suitability as engine lubricant.
3Smoke appears from the taxi's engine compartment during a trip. Which sequence gives occupant safety the correct priority?
A.Stop safely and investigate under the bonnet while the passengers remain inside
B.Continue to a nearby repair garage before stopping
C.Stop safely, switch off the engine, move occupants away from traffic and smoke, and request emergency help
D.Stop safely and unload luggage before asking passengers to leave
Explanation: Protecting people comes before diagnosing the fault or saving property. After stopping and switching off the engine, move occupants to a safe location and call for help; do not expose them to smoke while investigating.
4Before taking the taxi into service, which check best establishes that its emergency equipment is ready for use?
A.Confirm that an extinguisher purchase receipt is in the document folder
B.Check that the first-aid kit and warning equipment are present, leaving their condition for the annual inspection
C.Confirm that emergency equipment was checked at the last service
D.Check that the required equipment is present, accessible, secured and serviceable, including the extinguisher's condition
Explanation: Equipment must be usable when an emergency occurs, rather than merely listed in a record. The MYK assessment includes checking the condition and operation of protective and emergency equipment.
5A taxi driver notices repeated yawning and difficulty remembering the last part of the route. What is the appropriate response?
A.Stop in a safe place and obtain adequate rest before resuming driving
B.Open a window and accept only short trips until the shift ends
C.Increase the radio volume and drive more slowly until the next passenger boards
D.Drink coffee and treat the disappearance of yawning as proof of fitness to drive
Explanation: These signs indicate impaired alertness that can compromise hazard recognition and reaction. A safe stop and adequate rest address the problem; ventilation, music or caffeine do not establish that the driver is fit to continue.
6The taxi is positioned at a petrol pump ready for refuelling. Which action should the driver take?
A.Leave the engine idling if the passenger needs air conditioning
B.Switch off the engine and follow the station's no-smoking and other safety instructions
C.Keep the engine running until the attendant removes the filler cap
D.Turn off the headlights but leave the engine running to maintain battery charge
Explanation: Refuelling requires control of ignition sources and compliance with the station's safety instructions. Passenger comfort or battery charging does not justify keeping the engine running during fuel dispensing.
7A taxi is waiting outside a residential building at night. Which practice best reduces avoidable noise pollution?
A.Use repeated short horn blasts rather than one long blast to announce arrival
B.Keep the engine revving so the passenger can identify the taxi
C.Notify the passenger through the agreed contact method instead of using the horn as an arrival signal
D.Play the radio with a window open to signal the driver's presence
Explanation: Preventing avoidable noise is an explicit MYK environmental competency. An agreed arrival notification avoids disturbing nearby residents; the horn should not be used as a routine passenger summons.
8A colleague says that a taxi running on LPG has no environmental impact because it uses an alternative fuel. Which response is most accurate?
A.The claim is correct whenever the vehicle passes its inspection
B.The claim is correct if the exhaust produces no visible smoke
C.Alternative fuels eliminate the need for economical driving
D.Fuel combustion still creates emissions, so proper maintenance and economical driving remain relevant
Explanation: An alternative fuel does not make a combustion-engine vehicle emission-free. The qualification includes understanding fuel effects on the environment and reducing resource use through maintenance and driving choices.
9A taxi breaks down beside a fast road just beyond a bend. Which principle should guide the use of warning equipment?
A.Warn approaching traffic in time to react while following applicable placement rules and avoiding personal exposure to traffic
B.Place the warning triangle immediately behind the bumper because proximity is always safest
C.Use hazard lights alone because the bend makes any warning equipment unnecessary
D.Walk in the traffic lane to make sure approaching drivers see the warning triangle
Explanation: Warning equipment must provide useful advance warning, taking the road layout into account. Placement also requires attention to the driver's own safety; do not enter a live traffic lane to position equipment.
10After passengers have moved to safety, a driver considers using an extinguisher on a small vehicle fire. Which condition is essential before attempting this?
A.The driver can approach closely enough to see the exact faulty component
B.The agent is suitable for the fire, the driver knows its use, and a safe escape route remains available
C.The extinguisher can be fully discharged before emergency services arrive
D.The bonnet can be opened fully before the driver checks the extinguisher label
Explanation: A fire extinguisher is useful only when its agent and the conditions permit a safe attempt. Equipment knowledge and a clear escape route matter more than saving the vehicle; withdraw if the fire or smoke makes the attempt unsafe.

MYK Taxi Driver Level 3: Suggested Study Strategy

1Study both official units and their knowledge checklists; do not treat safety, environment and service quality as optional.
2Practise vehicle checks and passenger procedures in the real vehicle under appropriate instruction; MCQs cannot establish performance competence.
3Use current primary sources for traffic and seasonal rules. Distinguish national requirements from local municipal or governorate decisions.
4Learn the Turkish terms in the qualification and confirm the language, tariff and schedule with the authorized body before booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the official assessment format and pass mark?

A1 and A2 each have a written four-option T1 examination, requiring at least 60% with no deduction for wrong answers. A2 also has mandatory P1 practical assessment requiring at least 80% overall and every critical step. The national document does not specify a separate oral examination, coursework assignment or case-study submission.

Are 30 questions and 60 minutes fixed for every sitting?

No. The national qualification specifies minimum counts of 20 A1 and 10 A2 questions, at an average of two minutes per question. Those minima correspond to 40 and 20 minutes. The practical component has a duration corresponding to real working conditions; ask the chosen body for its schedule.

Who is eligible to apply?

The national qualification requires the appropriate driving licence, an authorized-centre psychotechnical test report and no convictions for the specifically listed disqualifying offences. This is not a blanket rule excluding every person with any criminal record. Confirm supporting documents and any local operating requirements with the authorized body and municipality.

Is this an official English exam or practical simulation?

No. These are independent English-language MCQ study questions. Turkish is confirmed at AHİ Belgelendirme, whose form permits requesting another language without promising any specific additional language. The practice bank cannot reproduce the official language environment or demonstrate practical driving competence.

Does passing this qualification authorize taxi operation everywhere in Turkey?

The qualification certificate and permission to operate a taxi are different matters. Check the relevant municipality's current driver-card and operating requirements, as well as driving-licence and vehicle requirements; this page makes no nationwide claim that one certificate supplies every authorization.
