About the Swedex A2 Exam
Swedex is Sweden's official Swedish proficiency certificate, developed and administered by Folkuniversitetet. The A2 level certifies elementary Swedish proficiency in line with the Council of Europe's Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). It tests reading, listening, vocabulary, grammar, writing, and speaking in everyday contexts — shopping, housing, transport, health, and social interaction. The exam is taken in one sitting at an authorised test centre and is offered approximately twice per year in Sweden and at partner institutions worldwide.
