Serbia Teacher Licensing Exam: Suggested Study Strategy
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the licensing examination assess?
It assesses readiness for independent work as a teacher, educator or professional associate after induction. The licensing rulebook prescribes written preparation, a demonstration of the relevant professional work and oral discussion of that work, a pedagogical situation and education legislation.
Who can apply?
Candidates need the qualification required for their particular post, the required psychological, pedagogical and methodological education, and successful completion of induction with at least one year of work. The institution submits the application and its commission's report. Requirements differ by role; the Ministry's preliminary oral pedagogy/psychology check is limited to its specified earlier employment cohort.
In which language is the official exam taken?
The licensing rulebook permits Serbian or the language in which the candidate performs educational work. The oral examination on education legislation is in Serbian. OpenExamPrep's English-language MCQs are independent study adaptations, not an official translation or a simulation of the assessment's language environment.
What happens after a failed component?
The minimum wait is 30 days for one failed part, 60 days for two parts, or 90 days for the whole exam. The candidate pays the applicable retake fee. Failing a part again is treated as failing the whole examination under the licensing rulebook.
What if the authority does not organize the examination in time?
ZOSOV normally limits trainee status and covered work without a license to two years. If a trainee was registered for the examination within the statutory period but the competent authority does not organize it, the examination deadline is extended until the examination is organized.
Do MCQs replace the practical and oral preparation?
No. Use these questions to study knowledge and decisions, then practice written lesson or activity preparation, oral explanation and real professional performance. These independent materials are authored by OpenExamPrep and have no Ministry endorsement or sponsorship.
