1A patrol vehicle travels 180 km in 2 hours and 30 minutes. What is its average speed?
A.72 km/h
B.75 km/h
C.68 km/h
D.80 km/h
Explanation: Convert the time to 2.5 hours before dividing. Average speed is 180 / 2.5 = 72 km/h.
2Twelve officers inspect 480 kits in 4 hours. How many kits can 15 officers inspect in 6 hours at the same constant individual rate?
A.750 kits
B.900 kits
C.600 kits
D.960 kits
Explanation: The rate is 480 / (12 × 4) = 10 kits per officer-hour. The new team supplies 15 × 6 = 90 officer-hours, so it inspects 900 kits.
3Protective equipment costs Gs. 4,500,000 after a 10% discount. What was the original price?
A.Gs. 4,950,000
B.Gs. 4,050,000
C.Gs. 5,000,000
D.Gs. 5,500,000
Explanation: The sale price is 90% of the original price P. Solve 0.90P = 4,500,000 to obtain P = Gs. 5,000,000.
4A supply room issues 3/8 of its original stock in the morning and 1/4 of the original stock in the afternoon. What fraction of the original stock remains?
A.5/8
B.1/8
C.3/32
D.3/8
Explanation: Use a common denominator: 3/8 + 1/4 = 3/8 + 2/8 = 5/8 issued. The remaining fraction is 1 - 5/8 = 3/8.
5Two stations are 45 km apart. On a map with scale 1:250,000, what distance separates them in centimeters?
A.18 cm
B.1.8 cm
C.180 cm
D.11.25 cm
Explanation: Convert 45 km to 4,500,000 cm. The map distance is 4,500,000 / 250,000 = 18 cm.
6A division assigns 180 cadets to three platoons in the ratio 2:3:4. How many enter the largest platoon?
A.60 cadets
B.80 cadets
C.90 cadets
D.72 cadets
Explanation: The ratio contains 2 + 3 + 4 = 9 parts, each worth 180 / 9 = 20 cadets. The largest platoon receives 4 × 20 = 80 cadets.
7A full tank contains 640 liters. If 35% is consumed, how many liters remain?
A.224 liters
B.384 liters
C.416 liters
D.605 liters
Explanation: Consumption leaves 100% - 35% = 65% of the original volume. Calculate 0.65 × 640 = 416 liters.
8There are 84 notebooks and 126 pencils. They must be divided into the greatest possible number of identical kits, using every item. How many kits can be made?
A.21
B.14
C.252
D.42
Explanation: The number of kits must divide both 84 and 126. Their greatest common divisor is 42, giving each kit 2 notebooks and 3 pencils.
9Solve 5(2x - 3) - 3(x + 4) = 29. What is x?
A.8
B.6
C.7
D.9
Explanation: Expand to obtain 10x - 15 - 3x - 12 = 29. Thus 7x - 27 = 29, so 7x = 56 and x = 8.
10Given 3x + 2y = 38 and 2x + 5y = 40, what is y?
A.10
B.4
C.6
D.8
Explanation: Multiply the equations by 2 and 3 respectively to get 6x + 4y = 76 and 6x + 15y = 120. Subtraction gives 11y = 44, so y = 4 and x = 10.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the official ANP examination?

No. These are independent English-language, four-option MCQ study questions. The current official academic assessment uses Spanish and Guaraní, five options per item and separate mandatory screening stages.

What does the 60% minimum mean?

The current rule requires at least 60% of the total knowledge-evaluation score, not a stated 60% in each subject. Ranking, available places and later eliminatory evaluations still determine progression and admission.

What is the current intake?

As verified on 9 October 2026, ISEPOL has published the 2027 admission programme and calendar. ANP's academic sitting is scheduled for 23 October 2026; check official notices for amendments.

What are the age and education requirements?

The current decree requires completed secondary education, at least 18 at registration and no older than 23 by 31 December of the call year. Nationality, background, documentation and suitability requirements also apply.

Are there physical or practical requirements?

Yes. Health, physical-efficiency and psychotechnical evaluations are separate eliminatory stages. This academic question bank cannot prepare or qualify you for those assessments by itself.

How much does applying cost?

A current official total was not verified. Consult the annual cartilla and portal for registration, materials and other applicable charges rather than relying on a previous intake's amount.
