A rectangular concrete water tank has an interior floor measuring 4.0 m by 2.5 m. What is the floor area?
Using π ≈ 3.14, what is the approximate cross-sectional area of a circular pipe with an inside diameter of 100 mm?
Water flows through a full pipe at an average velocity of 1.5 m/s. If the pipe's internal cross-sectional area is 0.0020 m², what is the volumetric flow rate?
Approximately how many meters of water column correspond to a static pressure of 200 kPa? (Use 9.81 kPa ≈ 1 m water column.)
A horizontal building drain is laid at a uniform slope of 2%. How much vertical drop occurs over a 12 m developed length?
A private dwelling has fixtures totaling 24 drainage fixture units on a common horizontal drain. If the designer must use a 1% slope instead of 2%, and the code multiplies allowable horizontal fixture-unit capacity by 0.8 at 1% slope, what adjusted load should be used when checking table capacity?
A cylindrical elevated tank has an inside diameter of 2.0 m and a water depth of 3.0 m. Using π ≈ 3.14, what is the approximate stored volume?
Convert 75 mm nominal pipe diameter to inches using 25.4 mm ≈ 1 inch. Which size is closest?
A copper water riser expands 1.2 mm for every 1 m of length when heated through a given temperature rise. What total expansion should be expected for a 15 m riser under the same temperature change?
A contractor prices 40 mm PVC drain pipe at PHP 185 per meter. How much should be budgeted for 28 m of that pipe before fittings and waste allowance?
