About the CB-NAT Grade 12 Exam
The Computer-Based National Achievement Test for Grade 12 (CB-NATG12) is an exit assessment under the national assessment framework of the K to 12 Basic Education Program, administered by the DepEd Bureau of Education Assessment. It is designed to determine whether graduating learners meet the learning standards of the Senior High School curriculum, and its results report the percentage of Grade 12 learners attaining at least the minimum proficiency level in the Stage 4 core learning areas. For School Year 2025-2026 it ran under DepEd Memorandum No. 014, s. 2026 and covered four learning areas: Language and Communication, Wika at Komunikasyon, Mathematics, and Science. The assessment tool is delivered in English for Language and Communication, Mathematics, and Science, and in Filipino for Wika at Komunikasyon, with a multiple-choice item format throughout. It is administered to all enrolled Grade 12 learners in a national sample of public and private schools rather than to every school.
