The Maldives Police Service Aptitude Test is Stage II of MPS recruitment. Applicants who clear the application stage sit three papers: General Knowledge (multiple choice plus 150–200 word essays written in English and Dhivehi), Numerical Reasoning (basic numeracy without a calculator), and Verbal and Non-verbal Logical Reasoning. Passing is required to move on to the physical fitness, swimming, interview, and medical stages.
